i installed turbo assembler5 and wrote some program in text and saved it with .asm extension
when i go to command prompt and type tasm cmd says to me not recognized.
so what is the problem or is there anything i should do before using commands of turbo?

Where is the tasm executable? Windows searches only a handful of directories when you run something without a full path specified.

Read up on the PATH variable and suchlike?

Let's see now.. Google for path variable??? You know, that's what I meant by "read up on the PATH variable"!

Anyway, you can run tasm directly by typing D:\tasm\tasm
