C000021a fatal system error

i have reformated my hp pavilion dv5000 laptop. i tried to get rid of that stupid blue screen. i reinstalled windows xp but when i try to upgrade to vista i get a blue screen with c000021a fatal system error. how do i finally fix this problem.

Download and install all the drivers for that model (as posted on the label on the back, not the bezel on the front). Do the Chipset first, then the video graphics, then all the others. Soon you will be done.
