c600 dell latitude freezes at 34 min

My dell c600 latitude freezes during installation phase at 34 min on xp. Tried different cds I knew that worked. Hard drive is fairly new and have had no problems. Can get into bios and see no problems. Have reformatted more than once. Any ideas? I'm out of them.

Tets you RAM, test your hard drive. Make sure the system is not overheating.
