cannot access my pc from lan

I have two pcs lanned.... dont mind my style. One is HP laptop with genuine windows... another is my desktop with pyrated windows. now I can access my desktop from the laptop .. but cant access laptop from the desktop...

I have worked on every possible options to overcome this problem such as local security policy etc.. but not helping...

can anyone help me out?

Information about my network

Well .. I connect the pcs with a lan cable .. i dont know the name of the cable type.. cat5 may be.. ...without any hub... just set ip address like 192.168.0.3 and 192.168.0.4 ... and subnet musk 255.255.255.0 ... thats all...

Is it enough? ... i dont know how to explain more.

what Security Prog are U using?

It's probably the Firewall blocking it.
