Cannot Access the My Computer Icon PLZ Help

Well, i reformatted the comp.
I got all the updates including SP2 and then downloaded all the fixes for SP2

Know, when i click My Computer, the computer slows ALOT down and the little searching thing pops out in the My Computer Window.. and it keeps going and going.

when i run C:\

It works fine and i can access it
But no through My Computer

Some Help would be much Appreciated

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

This is what I think the problem may be.

After you formatted and reinstalled Windows you are not supposed to do any other updates before you download and install SP2 then and only then do you do an update including any SP2 fixes.

I would recommend that you start again from scratch and do as I suggest above.
