Cant boot computer normally due to w32.Novarg.A@mm virus ca

After following the instructions from Symantec Site on the steps to remove W32.Novarg.A@mm Virus; I still cant boot normally.
After logging in the C:\Winnt32 Window pops up and doesnot let me do anything..
I changed the values in the registry as required.
Any advise

There is no such file as winnt32 in C:\.. Or there shouldn't be at least.

What you need to do is boot into safe mode and see if it makes your computer usable or not. If it does, then it will make it much easier to get rid of your problem.

To boot into safemode, tap the F8 key right before / during the Windows logo appears. You will see a text menu with several options, one of which will be safe mode.

I've just read a post in another forum (non computer) that says that this is a brand new mass mailer, the AV giandts haven't got a firm grasp of it yet, and it apparently shows all the signs (at the moment) of being the next Big one. Time will tell

the virus does not use an exploit like blaster did. this one comes as an attachment. so if it becomes a big probleem it will be becuase dumb people still open attachements.
