Cant detect hard disk

Hi guys. I have a HP pavilion dv6600 loaded wit Vista wanna load xp and it says no hard disk detected. In bios no option to enable seta or anything.. Need help urgent..plzzz guys.. Wat can i try.. Hp pavilion dv6600

wrong forum please familiarize yourself with TS and spellcheck.

1. did you load sata drivers when installing windows?
2. Are all connections secure?

Does your BIOS see the HD? If it does not then the cables might not be secure. If it does, then most likely need to download the appropriate sata drivers prior to installing the windows for the OS to recognize the drives.
