Can't find my SoundCard

My Computer had to be restarted on Windows Xp and before i had done that, i didn't know i had lost my Disks to put the sound drivers on. So i don't know what soundcard i have

I Just downloaded Everest Ultimate Edition 2006.

But i don't know where to go to find out which sound card i have

I'm New to TechSpot and would be grateful for any help

Download the Unknown Device Identifier from http://www.zhangduo.com/UnknownDeviceIdentifier.exe

Open it up and search the list of stuff it pulls up, your sound card hardware will be in there some place, and it may just give you enough details to know what it is.

Is your soundcard onboard the motherboard? Then go to your motherboard manufacturers web site and get the driver there.

If it's a PCI card, you can turn the PC off and pull the card out, then look for some kind of model number to search for.
