Can't get into bios

I just bought an Asus k8v mother board and cannot get into bios when I try to start the computer. Everything seems to be in the right spot. what is wrong?

try tapping on the delete key as soon as you turn it on
machine may be running to fast and pass's this up
some pc's use the F2 key laptops I don't Know

Are you sure that the bios key is the DEL but not some others?
Some of the manboards need to press some others keys to enter bios.
