Can't save as .jpg only as .bmp

When I try to save pictures I can't pick .jpg as the file type only .bmp
I'd like to know how I can fix this problem and save in .jpg ?

are you talking about pictures just within IE, or accross your entire computer?

just type ".jpg" after the filename. it'll save as Jpeg.

There is a better fix than this, but I forget what it is.

Try googling for "save images as JPEG in IE".

Otherwise, as I say, the above works as a temporary solution.

Are you sure the images are fully loaded? If something goes wrong, like you disconnect or something and the image stops loading, sometimes IE thinks the image was done loading and displays the "Save Picture As..." dialog, where you can only save as a bmp.
