Can't type password in at welcome screen

I think my subject says it all. I have been logging in using ctrl-alt-delete, but it's gotten really annoying!!! Please help me!!!

No, to see if the problem still happens in Safe Mode. If the problem doesn't appear in Safe Mode, it's a hint that it's in an optional area of Windows that is not included when you go to Safe Mode.

I never heard of such a way to start OS

You just turn on you monitor and press the start button.
Please oh please explain this way to boot a computer.
As for Password,just ignore it,then you don't have a password and
it won't ask for one as you don't have one.

Press F8 at the Windows screen and select Safe Mode. See if you can enter your password.

But do you know your Password and mean the Keyboard won't type ?
Do you ever get to YOUR Desktop to test the keyboard.
Are these other password users letting you use theirs to use Help and test your keyboard ?

If you want to keep your password and not have to type it everytime you start up download TweakUI http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx . Set it to log you on automatically using your password. You will never have to worrying about it again.

i'm currently using the computer. to login i have to press ctrl-alt-delete twice at the welcome screen.
