CD burning problem.

hello....i am having a problem burning cds....everytime i try and brun a cd it tells me to insert a blank cd...i use nero smartstart as my cd/dvd burning..it is a lightscribe cd/dvd rw player...do i need the lightscribe cd rw to put music on there or should any any cd rw work...the cd player does play music from brunt cds it just wont burn them....i downloaded the cd that came with the cd player and i did all that i needed to.

Have you tried other CD burning applications?

yes i tried the media player and it also didnt work...it could have been the cd but i dont think it was...i am pretty sure that the cd was blank...but i think i also tried other cds...
