Cd-rom problem.

i really want to pepair my cd-rom which has a 48x speed i accidentally placed a 52x cd in it, it read then it went wild,then i can't use it anymore..pls help.

Uhm.. The "52x CD" means that you can write on it at 52x speed max. This does not mean that you cannot use slower speeds or that it is dangerous to use these CDs in slower CD drives. That's just silly.

Did the CD in question have any cracks or deep scratches in it? Was it wobbly? Any thick stickers on?

What was supposed to be on the CD?
