Hey,
Gutted my friend's Sony Walkman for its CF microdrive, it was working before he replaced the whole unit, but would sometimes just lock up.
Upon bringing it home and putting it into a card reader, it just blinks (the access light) once, and then no more. I presume this is a dead drive, it has expired, pining for the fjords and possibly even climbed up the curtain and gone to meet the choir invisible!?
