Compaq FP5315 monitor problem

hey all - i'm having problems with the aforementioned monitor. all was fine until i i recovered my pc - now there is no display on screen, the power light flashes green every few seconds. all the trouble-shooting advice i've seen is impossible to try as it asks me to follow on-screen info. also compaq have been less than useful

have you tried using another monitor? your monitor could just have taken a turn for the worst, hardware tends to go defective after a while(usually right when the warranty goes out just to piss you off)
