Compaq R3000 LCD Disassembly

My laptop display recently went dim on me, which I gather is most likely a loose connection on the power inverter - or a dead one. I'm just trying to open up the display assembly to check it out myself..I've found the four securing screws on the lcd, but I'm looking for info on where the securing tabs are and the best way to remove the cover without snapping anything.

Sadly, both the maintenance manual and tech support have been worthless...so does anyone here have experience disassembling their R3000 (or similar model) LCD?

Yep..that's the manual I've looked at. Sadly, the display section just covers removal of the LCD from the base, and not lcd disassembly
