Hi everyone,
I was getting bored of some of the new games I was playing, and wanted to bring out some of my old favorites/classics (Lost Eden, Kyrandia just to name a couple). I figured they would work with windows XP's built in compatibility features, but I've been having no luck.

Any suggestions?
thanks

For windows there is the Application Compatibility Toolkit that you can get off your Windows XP CD. It is rather undocumented, but I have managed to squeeze some use out of it with some games.

As for DOS games, you should take a look at programs like VDMSound and Abandon Loader.

If you are a true oldies fan, you should just set up another computer or multiboot with Windows 98 and/or DOS

If you find it, it's even better to get a "low-specs" machine such as a Pentium 200 mmx or the likes. Certain very old games have problems running on fast machines.
