I've been completely hijacked. There are some dll files that show up in WINNT/system32 that change names ever time I reboot. Cannot delete them or do a ctrl alt delete to stop the process using the files. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!

Hijack log attached...

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Go and read the Trojan Pakes and other nasties preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT and AVG Antispyware logs as an attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Your version of HJT is out of date.

Go and read this thread HERE and obtain the latest version 1.99.1

Be sure to rename HijackThis.exe to HijackThis1991.exe and post a fresh HJT log.

Regards Howard :)

New HJT

Ok, here's the new log using the updated HJT version.

Let me know if you see anything suspicious.

Thanks again.

Run HJT with no other programmes open. Click the scan button. Have HJT fix the following, by placing a tick in the little box next to(if there).

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = E:\windows\system32\blank.htm

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = E:\windows\system32\blank.htm

O16 - DPF: {8D95D14D-4AFB-4885-8BF1-FB09FD72FCD2} (eBLVD ActiveX Control) - https://www.eblvd.com/control/launcher/3.2/ebie.cab

Click on the fix checked button.

Close HJT.

Locate and delete the following bold files and/or directories(if there).

E:\windows\system32\blank.htm

Other than the above your HJT log appears to be clean.

However, it appears you`re not running any antivirus or firewall software. This is a huge security risk.

Download and install the free AVG or Avast antivirus programmes and either the free Zonealarm or Kerio firewall programmes. You can get them HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

Install whichever firewall you chose, followed by whichever antivirus programme you chose. Reboot your system the required number of times. Run the antivirus updates.

Boot into safe mode, under your normal user name(NOT THE ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT). See how here.> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial61.html

In Windows Explorer, turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how here.> http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial62.html

Run a full system scan with your antivirus programme and delete whatever it finds. This includes anything in the virus vault/quarantine.

Reboot into normal mode, rehide your protected OS files.

Let me know if you`re still having problems.
