Computer comes on but....

When I turn my HP pavilion 532w on, I can hear it come on and feel the vibration, however the power light and yellow,"thinking light" does not come on and nothing comes up on the monitor. The cd drive light does comes on, and the drive opens and closes. Any clue on what it might be or what I might could do.

Appreciate any and all the help.

With regards to your problem, it may be that your power supply is faulty if the power and hdd activity light aren't coming on
