Computer keeps going offline

I have a laptop running Vista HP and I can't keep it connected to the internet. I have it connected to a wireless network and the problem doesn't happen to my other laptop running XP so I don't know if this is a vista issue or just something with this computer. Almost everytime I try to do anything internet related it either gives me you are working offline or the dial up connections pop up. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.
