Computer not reading other Hard Drives...

Okay the computer Im on now I can hook up other Hard Drives and they will work, but my other one, when I try to hook up other Hard Drives Ill get the 'Disc Read Error' thing...

Anyone know what I can do...

Well its running on XP SP1, what exactly do you need to know bout the computer...

Is it an old PC?
Also, what type of hard drive are you talking about?
If it's an ATA hard drive did you set the jumper is correctly?
