Computer shuts off?

I cant get my computer to turn on? When i turn the switch in the back it turns on for like 1 sec shuts off turns on agian for 1 sec then shuts off for good? If anyone has had this prob or know whats wrong help me plz.

PSU and/or switch is damaged.

PSU is an abbreviation for power supply unit (I think).

Ok thanx thats what i was thinking it was. So does this mean I will need to buy a new psu? theres a green light that stays on on the motherboard but no light on the power button.

Well now I know its not the psu because i just hooked my other 2 it and it does the same thing. Starts up and shuts down.

I was also told to unplug hd dvd drive ect. but still nothing. If anyone knows of anything else i can try plz let me know

Make sure the power supply is set to 115v if you're in North America.
