Computer will not load any programs just keeps getting errors

i restarted my computer todayand when i got back into windows all my icons were changed and no programs would open i cant open anything with .exe or any other ext, i get a windows could not find a program

it looks like a file that when you are trying to open a file, and the program is not installed

I'd start with a full virus scan on your hard drive. What anti-virus software are you using?

Then, I would go to this thread:

norton system works 2005 with all updates
and i cant open the program
