hi,
ok i have an emachines. it has an Intel® Desktop Board D845GVSR. On intel's site it says the board can only support speeds of DDR 333/266/200. however on everest it says my RAM is PC 3200 or DDR 400. can anyone explain to me y this is and is it really DDR 400. everest also says that the RAM is Samsung M3 68L6423ETM-CCC.

thanks

Everest is correct in its PC3200 definition, that's what you got.
You can insert faster RAM in your PC, but it won'r run any faster than the PC-bus supports or allows.
Perhaps if you overclock, your faster RAM might come into play.
As long as it works correctly, you have nothing to worry about.
The most you have to worry about is that your CAS is of a supported type.
Most older Dell PCs e.g. only take CAS=2 RAM, and won't work with 2.5 or 3.
