Connecting a s-video camera

hello everyone,
I'm trying to record video from a camcorder directly to my hard drive. My video card has a s-video connection and so does my camcorder. but i'm kinda stumped at this point. I'm using windows movie maker to record the video, but it says i don't have a camera hooked up. Someone please help.

The svideo on your graphics card is output only, you cannot use it to record with!!!!

You will need a tv card or some kind of specialised card specifically designed for the purpose!!!!
