How would I convert songs burnt to a disc as media files from a 98SE system to mp3 files on a XP system? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks...

I need you to be far more specific!!!

What actually happens when you try and what error messages do you get???

The player makes a peeping sound, and switches to the radio. I'll try again in the morning and will post any info that might appear on the player(if i go out now and wake a certain someone, it may be a while before u hear from me any time soon...) Thx for sticking with me and for trying to figure this out.

...."Code Error".

if you want to play mp3 files on a normal cd player (like a car one) that doesn't have support for mp3, you need to burn it as a native audio CD. Use iTunes or Windows Media player or your favorite burning software to do this.

If this is just transfer to another PC, you can just copy the mp3s over, but you'll need the codecs for it, as well as have that target pc authorized to play it if its DRM protected. Codecs can be downloaded from the net. Just search/google for Audio codecs or K-lite Media pack or something.
