"Could not perform start of Disc-at-once"- Please help...

I've been having some real probs with Nero 6.6.0.17 - everytime I try to burn to a disc in any of the programs ie burning rom, express, vision express, copy disc to disc, I always get the same message "Could not perform start of Disc-at-once". Please would someone help me & tell me what I'm doing wrong - there's probably a very simple way of correcting this problem, but I haven't found it so far, despite emailing Nero/Ahead support & getting no reply. Hoping my luck is better here.
