CPU Problems

Pc Specs:
Asus A7N8X-X
Amd Athlon 3000+
1.5gb pc ddr 400
Radeon 9600 Series
SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio [9000

Problem:
I currently have set my External Clock to 133 MHz (1.73GHz Processing speed) as when i put it to 166 MHz (2.17GHz Processing speed) it boots up, then after around 10 seconds of me opening different files or folders it reboots instantly. When i change it back to 133 MHz its fine.

I am not the brightest person when it comes to BIOS and maybe someone can help me configure it in order to up the processing speed.

My God im having the same problems right now! i have to underclock to get my computer to run stable. I havnt checked to see if it is set at 133mhz becuase i need it at 166mhz like you. I have posted everywhere even on AMD forums nd still NOTHING hopefully someone kind enough to help can fix both of our troubleing problems

Can you post some system specs please to help identify the problem that would help alot :grinthumb
