Ok heres the scoop, I'm trying to peice together a desktop pc for a friend of mine, I am using a ASrock K7vm4 mother board and an AMD 1400 socket A CPU, the motherboard is my old one. I ran and AMD xp 2200+ in it but my cpu cooler fan came loose during a move and it fried the cpu when i turned it on. so I built a whole new system, anywho, i checked the board with another amd cdu and it posted. now some monthes later Im trying to put this parts computer together and i cant get it to post ??? I got power. hard drives starts to spin, power lite is on. it sounds like it is running but no post. ive tried diffrent video cards etc.. no luck, i tried booting it with only ram cpu and HDD no luck. My question is I quess if know one has any other ideas is > if a cpu is fried will it still get warm when you turn the puter on ??? any help would be great. thanks
