Can the CPU temperature as indicated in the BIOS be trusted?

The temps in your BIOS (at least i think) are y our most accurate. THe programs you use in windows often can encounter conflicts and give you a wrong reading.

I use motherboard monitor 5, it took some playing with the settings since my board isn't "officially" supported.

How do you know which reading corresponds to what?

I got 3 sensor readings...

1. 26 degrees Celsius
2. 33 degrees Celsius
3. 71 degrees Celsius

My guess is that 1 is case temp, 2 is cpu temp, and 3 i don't know...

any thoughts? my mobo is gigabyte GA-K8NS

3 looks like the VGA card. I don't know of anything else that could be running that hot...
