Cpu usage 100% any problem ?

my computer configaration

intel(R)
pentium(R) 4 cpu 2.80Ghz
2.79Ghz, 1.00 GB of RAM

when i am using video converting program like AUTO GK , cpu usage showing 80, 90 % . some time 100%. so if any problem comming like this cpu usage. any problem comming like this program using continusly 6 0r 7 hours. plese advice

hi usage is not a problem per se.

be sure your VM pagefile is 2x your installed RAM.

first defrag the HD, set the VM size, and then reboot.

What does pagefile have to do with this?

if set too small, you've spend a lot of time with needless paging.
if set automatic expand, cpu is burned in moving files to expand the pagefile.

set it to fixed and set it right; cpu and i/o will be saved
