just purchased parts from newegg for my new home computer.
amd athlon 4000+ san diego, 1gig kingston ram, 120gb hd, ASUS EAX300SE video card, and a ASUS A8N5X Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 ATX AMD Motherboard.
I had a friend who installed it with no problems. Computer was working fine the whole day, then shut it down for the night. the next morning the computer wouldn't even turn on.
After testing out the power supply, we figured there was a problem with the motherboard. we go out to compusa to purchase a new motherboard (nForce4 Ultra ATX Socket 939), now the computer turns on, but it doesn't post. I am extremely frustrated with this, and no one knows whats wrong with it. Could it be the cpu? I'd appreciate it if you guys could help me out on this one. thanks.
