First of all, hello and thankyou to anybody that can help me with this problem I have.
I have IE7 opening a popup window with a direct to cpvfeed.com and have tried spybot and adaware in an attempt to fix this without success.
Before I apply the sledgehammer approach and reformat, I have saved a hijack this file and if anyone can interpret this and advise I would be most grateful.

CPVFeed.com is adaware-spyware where cpv stands for "Cost Per View" which is usually placed on your computer by MyGeek.com.
This is a common and well known adware infestation which can usually be removed by Adaware or the paid version of adaware, Spyware Doctor, Spyware Sweepeer, StopZilla, AVG AntiSpyware and others. You may have to run the programs in Safe Mode. You may have to download a fix using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer.

You can run a search on your computer for SearchTool, and for SmartShopper after you have run a scan.

Your system is infected with a variety of malware.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above.

Also, let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan.
