Dammnit, BSOD after installing Service Pack 2

I reformatted my computer and reinstalled my 5 year old copy of Windows XP Home retail. After activating my copy and installing my LAN driver to get on the net, I immediatly started to download Service pack 2. Now normally service pack 2 installs nicely after I reformat, but now when I gets the the Windows XP loading screen with the loading bars, it crashed to a BSOD saying unhandled exeption. I am so frustrated now and I dont know what to do.

Did you go to the PCs manufacturers website first to see if your model has any conpatability issues with SP2, that should always be the first port of call before installing SP2 and if a home built PC go to the website of each manufacturer of your parts inside the custom PC.
