Hi, I have a Dell PC, and i wanted to upgrade the RAM from 512kb to 1g for it. Do I have to buy from dell or will any RAM work as long as it is a PCI express.

PCI Express has nothing to do with the ram. you need to know what kind of ram is installed and then buy more of the same. you need to also make sure that yu have available ram slots for the new ram.
if you dont know any of the above then download SIW and run it to find out the make and type of ram yu have and available ram slots.
