Dial-up tweak help ?

Compliments of Bellsouth and Earthlink, I seem to be resigned to dial-up for some indeterminate amount of time. Can anyone tell me where to get some software that will tweak or help me tweak my settings to get maximum performance ? I appreciate it !

There are several freeware and shareware programs HERE which all do much the same job.

You could also try a few manual tweaks,as described HERE

In my personal experience,making noticeable improvements to dial up speed
is not easy.Let`s hope Bellsouth and Earthlink get their act together sometime soon.

You do have options. If you're in a remote location, Satellite internet is available. The downlinks are fast, but uplinks are considerably slower.
