Difficulty with XP Login without Keyboard

Hi there, I was unable to login into my account on the WIN XP Login screen as the PS/2 keyboard does not respond. I am unable to numlock or caplock the keyboard, keyboard has been tested to function under DOS mode, attempt to login in safe mode has also failed. The USB mouse was functioning normally, cursor blinks on the space allocated for the password to be entered. Was unable to proceed any further pass the login screen. Kindly request assistance to the above mention difficulty. Thanks a million. :angel:

have you tried Windows in safe mode? then if that works maybe check device manager for keyboard/human interface devices. disable passwords in control panel/users till you figure something out.

attempt using said kbd to access the bios. if you can't get into the bios, you're looking at a potentially serious hardware problem. it also would help you out a lot of you could test your keyboard on another computer, or a known good kbd on the machien in question.
