Digital camera doesn't download pictures onto laptop

When it rains it pours. When I connect my camera to my laptop, the pictures don't transfer. NOthing pops onto my screen like it used to?! Seems like ever since I clicked the 'update Internet explorer' I've been having trouble with things?! I've been doing this for months, and it always pops up the kodak easy share photos to transfer when the USB is connected.

Go to "My Computer" and see if you have some sort of a removable drive there.

Also, try Start->All Programs->Accessories->Scanner and camera...
