Display quality

I recently reformatted my HD to Win 2K Pro from Win ME. The problem is, my display quality is 800x600 at 16 colors max. Windows will not let me change these settings; this is the max resolution. Before reformat, the display quality was great. I tried to reinstall the drivers from the ProView website, but Windows would not point to the drivers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Were they 2k drivers?

The drivers I tried to d/l were from the ProView site, for the monitor. The website did not specify that the drivers were for 2K only. It stated that the driver was for all monitors. The site can be viewed at:

The specs are 933 MHz, 256 MB RAM with 2 HD. Both are formatted with Win 2K. I was wondering if there was a conflict with the 2 HD's. I'm gonna try and d/c one and see if that works.

What video and mainboard chipset?
Get a copy of Everest home it's free and will give you and us all the
details of your system.
It sounds to me like maybe your chipset drivers and
video drivers need to be updated to win2k/xp.

Yes, you should be trying to install graphics card drivers (or onboard graphics drivers, whichever is applicable) rather than monitor drivers. That will give you access to resolution settings.
