What I wanted to know is if by any change their is a connection between hardware failure and high-voltage peeks on the powergrid.
The thing is I live near a waystation for the powerlines and we get a lot off voltage peeks here and I think it causes my broadband router to stop functioning the way it should be.

If their by any way is a connection between the voltage peeks and the routermalfunctioning can you guys give me some guidelines or something to help me with this problem.

Yours sincerely,

Yes! "Influenced" is a mild word for fried electronics :) And yes, you can get all kinds of lesser malfunction too.

You can buy surge protectors to safeguard your expensive home equipment.
