Navigate to the i386 folder containing the XP installation files and run "winnt".
 
Yes, the infamous "some" error.. You should apply the "some" solution to this to get it fixed. :rolleyes:
Please! Do pay attention to what your computer tells you!

Is your Windows XP on a CD? Does your DOS installation load the CD-ROM drivers?
 
why are you doing it the hard way? Why not just load windows directly from the CD?
 
check the bios boot sequence

before putting the cd in,
get into bios (by tapping esc, del, f2 or some other key).
once in bios, go to boot sequence, and select "boot from cd first", hard disk second, and floppy third.
put the cd in the cd rom drive
save the bios and exit.
you should be ok.
