Dual Booting (98 & 2K)

Simply boot on the Windows 2000 install CD & follow the instructions. If you decide to format the partition on which you install 2K as NTFS (recommended), it will not be accessible from Windows 98.

Other then that you'll have the OS loader menu at startup letting you chose which OS you wish to boot, 98 or 2K.

Welcome to TechSpot. Hope you enjoy your stay.

You can install both on the same partition but both OSes will use the same "Program Files" folder (not recommended). It would have been better to create two separate partitions before installing Windows 98.

Now that the first OS is already installed, use something such as Partition Magic to split the existing partition in two partitions.
