DVD-/+RW ND-1300A reads CD's No longer reads any DVD

What happened
It worked fine yesterday
It doesnt work today

It has the latest firmware
I am still running WIN xp

I saw this kind of error in another post
but it is dated a year ago and it didnt look like there was any resolution

Return it if still under warranty.
Otherwise open it up and check if the flat filmcable to the lens-arm is still properly attached.

I dont think it is still under warranty

and i took it apart and detached the cable you are talking about and reattached it

still nothing - (just cd's that is, still no dvd action) owe well

guess it is dead
