DVD-RW takes too long time to burn a DVD...

  1. Hi to all...i recently bought a DVD burner of LG company...It burned a DVD with no error..but the problem is ..it took about 1 and 1/2 hour to burn a DVD...the software i used is NERO 7.5...i burned at 8x speed..normally it takes about 8 mins at that speed in my frens' computer... power supply(SMPS) in my fren's computer and my computer is exactly same(300Watt)...what may be the problem? ...

    You have probably got too many processes or programs running in the background. Make sure you have nothing else running - have a look at the task manager to see what is using your resources (Ctrl - Alt - Del)

    What was the buffer level doing? Make sure the drive isn't in PIO mode.

    buffer level wasn't constant...sometimes it was above 90% and sometimes it was below 20% ...continuous fluctuation was there
