DVD's won't play

I just received my new computer today and i tryed to play a dvd and it would not play. It act's like it's loading and then the program will just close and an error report will pop up.I've tryed media player,realplayer,media center,powerDVD, and interactual none work. Media center says: Application failure: critical media center process has failed. Both drives have this problem and both will play cd's and dvd based games, i don't get it.

Any help would be apresated, Thx

when it's new like this not much to do but RMA(send it back)
it could be bad drive , bad board ,bad install.
mor'n like the last
