DVI to HDMI

I have an ATI Radeon x300 video card and have hooked up my plasma tv with a dvi to hdmi cable. I can extend the desktop to the TV, but the resolution is blurry and I can't seem to get it right. Can anyone help? Someone told me to reduce the screen refresh rate from 75Hz to 60 Hz, but 75Hz is the only option available in the pull down menu.

soo u get an images which is blurry i belive its to do with the refresh rate as ur friend mentioned, i think u need to update ur graphic card drivers and that should do the trick.

You also have to make sure the image you output on the TV is at the native resolution. Can your TV do HD Ready or Full HD resolutions ?

Blurry almost certainly is not a refresh rate issue. It IS almost certainly a resolution issue. As Didou said, you need to change the resolution to what is naitive for the TV. If its a 720p tv then 1366x768 is what it should be set to. If its a 1080 tv then you should set the resolution to 1920x1080.

You may also need to update your video card drivers.
