eMachine won't run properly

The other night my brother was surfing the web and it started
dling random stuff he then shuts down the computer and uninstall what was dled. He restarts again and the computer starts but it freezes at the emachine logo load the fans are running the cd drives work but it just freezes at the logo and it won't load the restoretion cd. Anyone know what may be the problem and how I may be able to fix it?

no, when i start the machine up it just freezes at the emachine logo and i know my mother board aint fried cause ive done alot of test people tell me to and it doesnt shot its fried.

I had the same problem this morning, don't call microsoft, because after 4 hours on the phone and $35, I have no idea what they had me doing, but at the end they told me to take it to a local technician.
