Epox EP-8KDA3+ boot problem

I have a problem with an install using an Epox EP-8KDA3+. When pressing power switch the post monitor just breifly flashes FF and cuts out. There appears to be no power to fans, monitor, keyboard etc. If I remove the 4pin ATC connector the fans start and monitor stays at FF. Still no power to accessories.

Does anyone have a clue to what might be wrong? I have heard that some Akasa psu's can cause problems.

Thanks, Keith

Hello and welcome to Techspot!

My guess is the same as your hunch I think. The psu may be suspect.

You don't by chance have another one you can test with, do you?

Try stripping down to only the essentials and see if you can get in. Ie., one stick of ram, CPU, video card and see if you can POST.

It can't hurt to try resetting CMOS as well. Maybe there are some wacky settings in there messing you up?

Thanks for welcome and reply. I am getting a replacement PSU later this week and will try what you suggest. Will advise results.
