'eragon' always freezes at the begining,please help...

Hallo friends,recently i installed 'eragon' on my pc(p4,2.4 ghz,1gb ram,geforce 6200(256mb)), but just after loading,at the very begining of the game the screen freezes and my pc gets restarted,i've checked by reducing sound hardware acceleration,by changing video card hardware acceleration,by minimizing all graphics parameter,by trying all available nvidia video drivers(from v84.21 to v93.71),but i got no result,the game always freezes at the first scene like a picture postcard on my pc,but it runs smoothly on my friend's pc(with geforce 5200 and geforce 6800).can anyone help me?

update all your other drivers.
check your temperatures and voltages. Use SpeedFan to help you do this. Post info when your PC is idle and again when you do something intensive (game/deep virus scan)
