Error message upon shutdown (HELP...I cant do something...!)

HELP...I cant do something...!

Erm....could anyone pls help me with this..
Whenever I shut down my computer..there will be an error msg shown....rundll32.exe not responding...End now or cancel..
how do I repair it?..Is there anyway for it to be repaired without a complete restoration or a re format?

Is it a recient problem that you are able to use system restore on?

My computer doesnt allow system restore..
everytime I restart a system restore..it shows an error...not allowing me to restore to any checkpoint..
I am just looking for a less hassle and unharmful solution...
